Вийде посмертний альбом Яни Павлової

A posthumous album by Yana Pavlova is set for release

Berlin-based label PSY X has announced ‘Thrill’, the third collaborative full-length album by Yana Pavlova and producer Pavlo Miliakov. The description states that the 14-track release is a continuation of the 2021 album ‘Blue’

Miliakov and Pavlova worked on ‘Thrill’ over the course of four years and completed it shortly before Yana’s passing in February 2025. In addition to 12 new tracks, the release also features new versions of ‘Strong-Willed’ and ‘One Day Stand’.

According to the description, the LP expands the ‘delicate language’ introduced on ‘Blue’. The label describes the record as ‘a fitting closing chapter and at the same time a great document of Pavlova’s singular, ethereal voice’.

‘The 14 scratchy, diaristic pieces move between ambient drift, field recordings, and loose jazz inflections, where haunted vocals, blurred guitars, and faded textures surface then dissolve again. Rather than setting into fixed forms, the music unfolds patiently, revealing quiet emotional weight and space’, the description reads.

The album’s title refers to the singer’s track of the same name, released on Milyakov’s EP ‘Enthropic Vision’ (2024). It was Yana’s last composition.

The release of ‘Thrill’ is scheduled for May 1, 2026, and the vinyl is already available for pre-order via PSY X’s Instagram.

About Yana Pavlova

Yana Pavlova was a Ukrainian vocalist, producer, and experimental musician. She passed away at the age of 35 in February 2025.

In December 2025, her track ‘Strong-Willed’ was included in the list of the 200 best electronic tracks of 2000–2025, compiled by the editorial team of the British publication Resident Advisor (RA). The track ranked No. 41. The publication describes ‘Strong-Willed’ as ‘a document of both mourning and resilience’ and ‘a call for humanity’:

‘Pavlo Miliakov’s simple, haunting bass synth creates a bedrock for Yana Pavlova’s soft intonation: ‘Gonna take a while with it / Then you reach for it’. As Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine continues to ravage lands and livelihoods, ‘Strong-Willed’ is a call for humanity. Pavlova is gone now, but her voice still echoes out like she never left’.

The Resident Advisor list was compiled based on a survey of more than 100 artists, labels, clubs, promoters, DJs, journalists, RA staff members, and freelancers, who collectively cast ‘thousands of votes’.
