Обкладинка альбому DrumMishanya — «Пам’ятка»

Dnipropop label released posthumous album by Misha Biketova

Electronic musician, air reconnaissance specialist and close friend of Dnipro’s Module formation Mykhailo Biketov (‘Red’) died during a combat mission in March. The album ‘Pamiatka’ of his project DrumMishanya was posthumously released by Dnipro Dnipropop label

The label said that Mykhailo taught himself to make electronic music and ‘dreamed of being released via Dnipropop and did not abandon this goal’, despite the fact that he volunteered to join the AFU in the early days of the full-scale war.

‘The development of an independent and distinctive cultural community was the dream of all Module generations. Misha Biketov belonged to the youngest one. A generation of indefatigable, cheerful and sincere volunteers, — Dnipropop says. — He stood out because of his individual vision and outstanding talent. And, finally, he started to independently experiment with learning and using electronic musical instruments’.

‘Pamiatka’ includes 15 tracks. Biketov recorded most of the material in between completing combat missions, in dugouts and ‘in an improvised ‘mini studio’ at a PPD close to the battle line’.

‘The uniqueness of the album is not limited to the military context. In these raw and messy essays, the voice of a generation is heard. Their sincerity. Their irony. Their eternal youth. Thank you to the loved ones for Misha’.

In the first days of the full-scale war Mykhailo Biketov together with other Module members joined the Defense Forces as a member of Module Squad.

Mykhailo was an air reconnaissance specialist. Two days before his death he turned 24 years old.

‘Misha Biketov, call sign ‘Red’, worked as a member of one of our FPV crews. In his last battle, his unit destroyed a tank and an IFV, stopping one of the thousands of offensives that are now ongoing along the entire front line… His mother is a legendary combat medic who also serves in the AFU’, Nikita Kozachinsky, co-founder of Module, writes.
