First Look: LITKOVSKA x AZOV.ONE charity collaboration

Ukrainian brand LITKOVSKA has launched a charity collaboration with AZOV.ONE — the fundraising division of the Azov Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. The collection includes embroidered shirts, bracelets, and dog tags made from shell casings fired by the brigade’s artillery on the Toretsk front. The initiative aims to raise 3.5 million UAH to fund the purchase of CASEVAC vehicles.

As part of the collaboration, a limited edition of items was created that ‘combine the power of symbol, prayer, and craftsmanship’.

‘Together with AZOV.ONE, we spent a long time developing items that would be filled with meaning and strength — reflecting both the spirit of the Azov fighters and those supporting them from the rear, — the brand’s founder, Lilia Litkovska, says. — It is a great honor for us to contribute to the fundraising for CASEVAC vehicles that save the lives of our soldiers’.

Two linen shirts in white and khaki, embroidered with lines from the ‘Prayer of the Ukrainian Nationalist’ (a tradition also observed in the Azov Brigade), reference a shirt from LITKOVSKA’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection. During the previous show in May 2022, Lilia Litkovska walked the runway holding a poster that read Help Mariupol Azovstal Now at Kornit Fashion Week in London.

Among the LITKOVSKA x AZOV.ONE accessories are headscarves with white and black prints that ‘carry the words of a prayer for Azov — as a talisman and a symbol of spiritual strength and resilience’. The lines are featured as both black and white prints on the scarves.

Tokens and bracelets were made from spent 120 mm and 152 mm shell casings.

‘A collaboration that began with a chance encounter grew into a friendship. Nearly a year of meetings, reflections, and delving into history with the color guard service and our comrade Dotsent, searching for and revealing meanings, — Vladyslav Khlopenko, head of partnerships at AZOV.ONE, says. — These objects and pieces of jewelry serve as a mediator for anyone who wants to support and reconnect with something personal’.

The GORN workshop also created eight ceramic art objects as part of the collaboration — ‘symbols of the shelled land, through which, against all odds, flowers continue to grow’.

The items can be purchased via chatbot on the LITKOVSKA x AZOV.ONE website. All proceeds will go toward the purchase of CASEVAC vehicles, ensuring the rapid and safe evacuation of the wounded from the hottest points on the front line. You can also contribute to the fundraiser via the link.

The ceramic objects by GORN will be on display at LITKOVSKA’s flagship space, Basecamp on Liuteranska Street, until the charity auction in June — with the option to purchase them prior to the event.
