Each season, Ukrainian Fashion Week continues to raise funds for the ‘Faces of Heroes’ project, which supports veterans and service members with maxillofacial injuries. This time, brands are also offering invitations to shows in exchange for donations or the chance to participate in giveaways. DTF Magazine has compiled some of these initiatives and also shares an overview of the Ukrainian Fashion Week program
About the concept of the new Ukrainian Fashion Week season
The new season is dedicated to the sustainable and innovative approaches of Ukrainian designers, who ‘create their collections under the extremely difficult conditions of the full-scale war’.
‘At a time when the world is changing with unprecedented speed, Ukrainian fashion demonstrates its ability to rethink, innovate, and evolve sustainably’, Iryna Danylevska, co-founder and CEO of Ukrainian Fashion Week, says.
She adds: ‘In FW26-27, we aim to showcase how Ukrainian designers are shaping the future of fashion through responsible production, new technologies, innovative materials, and sustainable solutions that respond to global challenges — from environmental to social. These are forward-looking approaches, created in Ukraine that resonate globally’.
About the program
The program includes shows, presentations, and a trade show featuring forty Ukrainian brands. A standout highlight will be the Art of Fashion: Sustainable Innovations exhibition, where brands will present looks created using upcycling and recycling techniques, zero-waste production, responsible materials sourcing, and innovative technologies. Among the participants are BEVZA, J’AMEMME, KSENIASCHNAIDER, LITKOVSKA, NADYA DZYAK, OMELIA, PLNGNS, TG Botanical, UPSLOWUSE, and the fashion school UFEG, which will also host a lecture on biodesign.
Ukrainian Fashion Week will take place from March 12 to 15 at Mystetskyi Arsenal. The full program is available via the link.
Ways to attend Ukrainian Fashion Week: charity initiatives
This season, the team continues the ‘Faces of Heroes’ initiative — a collaborative project with the YANKO charitable foundation aimed at supporting service members with maxillofacial injuries.
