KSENIASCHNAIDER and the British brand Barbour have announced their first collaborative collection. It features two women’s Barbour jackets based on the brand’s archival designs and customized at the KSENIASCHNAIDER studio in Kyiv
KSENIASCHNAIDER say the collaboration ‘continues the brand’s upcycling approach — reworking garments to give them a new form while preserving their authenticity’.
The first silhouette, the Barbour ALLERSTON WAXED JACKET, crafted from the brand’s signature waxed cotton fabric, is complemented with KSENIASCHNAIDER’s denim patchwork.
The jacket retains its classic tartan lining and is finished with custom co-branded labels, hardware, and metal details.
The second model, the Barbour ERMA WAXED JACKET, was reimagined through an ‘ironic design’ approach: the classic jacket silhouette is adorned with decorative leaf-shaped patches, ‘as if left behind after a walk in the forest’. The signature waxed fabric was also customized with KSENIASCHNAIDER-specific elements, including metal details, labels, and hardware.
Co-founder of KSENIASCHNAIDER, Anton Schnaider, adds that ‘they have always admired Barbour foremost for its character and confidence’, and that the brand’s approach to ‘turning utility into aesthetics’ has been a source of inspiration for them.
‘Barbour’s deep local roots and ability to be both democratic and elevated resonate strongly with us. It is a brand that doesn’t chase trends but builds legacy. And we feel honoured to be part of this story and to add a Ukrainian voice to it. The original silhouettes retain Barbour’s recognisability, but sound different — through the materials, details, and KSENIASCHNAIDER’s approach’, Anton explains.
The limited-edition collection will be available for purchase from November 17 on the KSENIASCHNAIDER website and exclusively at the OSTRIV store in Kyiv.

In October, KSENIASCHNAIDER released a limited-edition collaborative collection with the British brand Lee Cooper. It was first unveiled in September at KSENIASCHNAIDER’s debut show as part of London Fashion Week.
The collaboration, which features 15 silhouettes, was grounded in Lee Cooper’s core principles that resonate with the Ukrainian brand’s philosophy: a focus on quality, durability, and functionality. As a result, the collection ‘combines Lee Cooper’s British heritage with KSENIASCHNAIDER’s avant-garde upcycling aesthetic’.
