LITKOVSKA presented a collection in Paris. It was dedicated to the soldiers’ journey to the top of Kilimanjaro

At the Paris Fashion Week LITKOVSKA presented a new collection at the vintage market Paul Bert Serpette. The deconstructed items, which are signature for the Ukrainian brand, were supplemented with military and tourist equipment — a reminder of the Lilia Litkovska’s and the Ukrainian soldiers’ journey to the highest point of Africa in February

About the idea behind the presentation

LITKOVSKA tells us that the new collection — ‘3 a.m. – traverse’ is ‘a meditation on resilience, born from an ascent both physical and existential’.

In early February 2025, designer Lilia Litkovska joined a climbing trip to Mount Kilimanjaro. Four soldiers who had undergone limb amputations and suffered serious injuries aimed to show other Ukrainian servicemen that ‘life does not lose its meaning’ even after injuries or amputations.

We talked to the project team about the process of climbing and preparation for the expedition and tell you more in our article.

‘Challenging times reveal the truth, separating the valuable from the ordinary, the real from the illusory. The last three years of the big war have changed me, my family and my country. These thoughts accompanied me as I climbed Kilimanjaro with my dearest friends, the military who bear the scars of this war, — Lilia says. — I saw their faces glowing with unwavering determination, unbridled emotion and sheer delight as they reached their goal. It was genuine. It was the truth’.

About the show at Paris Fashion Week

The LITKOVSKA event was a continuation of the exploration of the concept of dialog.

If in previous presentations it was a physical dialog between people or correspondence between viewers from different cities, the Fall/Winter 2025 season show turned into a ‘quiet conversation with time’, because ‘randomly found items [at the vintage market] get a second life, transforming from the forgotten past into timeless artifacts’.

Lilia Litkovska, explaining the choice of location, says: ‘I chose this space because it inspires me. And because I dream that a decade from now someone will find my items here as proof of their longevity’.

About the collection

The new LITKOVSKA collection emphasized layered looks. The collection includes long fur coats and shearling jackets with fur inserts, reinterpreted classic three-piece suits with elements of deconstruction, cropped coats, leather shirts, dresses and plaid coats. Some items — shirts and bags — are decorated with newspaper prints.

The looks were combined with military and outdoor gear, including balaclavas and goggles.

LITKOVSKA’s charity collaboration with British photographer Nick Knight was released in February 2025. Its face was Ukrainian actress Solomiya Kyrylova, known for her role in the film ‘Pamfir’.
