In 2022, Silent Planet launched a line of merch featuring Ukrainian symbols and donated the proceeds to a fund supporting Ukrainian refugees. In the summer of 2025, they also released the track ‘Wick’ as part of a fundraising campaign for the charity foundation Povernennia Dytynstva (Return of Childhood).

More about Silent Planet

The band was founded in 2009, and its name is taken from the science fiction novel ‘Out of the Silent Planet’ by ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ author Clive Staples Lewis.

In their lyrics, the band often addresses themes of war, religion, and politics, as well as reacting to current events in the world and in the United States. For example, the track ‘No Place to Breathe’, released in the summer of 2016, was an expression of support for the Black Lives Matter movement, while ‘Alive, as a Housefire’, released in 2021, reflected on the ideological divide in the U.S.

The band’s latest album to date, ‘Superbloom’, was released in November 2023. Music critics called the LP one of the best metalcore albums of the year and the band’s defining record.

In December 2025, Silent Planet released the single ‘under your skin’. According to the band, ‘this song is for everyone who knows what it’s like to watch someone cross over, and what it feels like to be caught between worlds’.
