New place: Gunia Project showroom near the Golden Gate

The Ukrainian brand Gunia Project has opened its second showroom in Kyiv, which overall becomes its third offline space in Ukraine. The store is located on Zolotovoritska Street, near the Golden Gate, where in September 2024 Gunia Project held a show during Ukrainian Fashion Week

About the idea behind the space

In a comment to DTF Magazine, the brand’s co-founder Mariia Havryliuk explained that the new space was opened due to the ‘brand’s active development’.

‘We’ve expanded our category of jewelry, started working with clothing, and added new materials and directions, — she said. — So there was a need for a space where we could properly showcase all categories and present the brand in a more complete way’.

Forbes notes that investments in the project exceeded five million hryvnias, making it Gunia Project’s most expensive renovation to date.

In a comment to DTF Magazine, Mariia explained: ‘We wanted to create a lasting space that would have a long life and allow our products to be presented with the highest quality. We are not postponing investments in Ukraine — we believe it is important to continue building our business here and to showcase the strength of Ukrainian brands, designers, and artisans right now’.

At the same time, the Kyiv space on Antonovycha 4/6 and the one in Lviv continue to operate.

About the location

The new store is located in a historic building at 2A Zolotovoritska Street. Previously, the Panamanian consulate in Ukraine was located here.

The brand worked on the new project together with architect Anastasiia Tempinska. The main idea of the design project was to preserve the ‘authentic character of the historic building’, as well as its wooden panels and ceiling, which were integrated into the new interior.

‘We wanted them to resonate in a new way within contemporary design, highlighting the uniqueness of the space and harmoniously blending with our products’, Mariia added.

The brand plans to further develop the Gunia Project community. In particular, it intends to host private presentations, educational events, and gatherings in the space that will ‘bring people together around the brand’. At the moment, Gunia Project is not announcing specific events, but updates can be followed on Instagram.

The store is open Monday to Saturday, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, and on Sunday from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm.
