On the night of February 14–15, an afterparty for the Berlin premiere of the film ‘The Moment’ by Charli XCX and Aidan Zamiri took place in Berlin. It was organized by a promo agency owned by russian-born Anastasia Shevtsova (known as Petlt), whose mother heads the russian foundation ‘Traditsiya’ and visits Ukrainian territories occupied by russia. Ukrainian activists drew attention to this
Anastasia Shevtsova is the owner of the Dance Hole agency, as well as a DJ and producer better known as Petlt. Despite the fact that Dance Hole is registered and operates in Paris, Shevtsova continues to perform in russia (one of her latest tracks on SoundCloud is titled ‘pomogi mne poteryat’sya’).
Shevtsova’s mother, Zhanna Shevtsova, runs a foundation that cooperates with putin’s foundation (‘Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives’) and also visits occupied Ukrainian cities. For example, according to news published on the foundation’s website, she organizes screenings of propaganda films for children there. Since 2023, the foundation’s ‘activities have been directed toward the new territories of the russian federation, expanding its program and engaging creatively gifted children’.

Images shared by Ukrainian activists in Instagram stories stated that both the venue and Charli XCX’s management were ‘informed about the organizers’ actions and their family ties. They chose not to cancel the event’. At the same time, it remains unclear how exactly this communication took place and whether there was any official response. Comments under the announcement post published ahead of the event were closed.
The invite-only afterparty took place at STUDIO IIII in Berlin. The lineup featured Charli’s husband, George Daniel, alongside russian producer Nina Kraviz. Among the guests were director Gaspar Noé (who visited russia in 2024) and Ilya Khrzhanovsky.
