The ICKPA electronic music festival is organizing its first event in Kyiv in four years, where the Ukrainian-Georgian team launched the project back in 2021. The new event will take place from July 25 to 27, featuring Ukrainian and international artists in the lineup, as well as collaborations between local and global scene representatives
Announcing the Kyiv festival, the founders express their happiness to return to Kyiv, which ‘is a symbol of resistance and resilience — two things that are close to both Ukrainians and Georgians’. Among the founders of ICKPA is the Bassiani club team.
The lineup and other events planned for the July ICKPA festival will be announced later.
One of the main updates is the festival venue. In 2021, it took place at the Khvylia sanatorium near Kyiv, but this time the organizers decided to change it to a location within the city. For security reasons, the exact location will be announced on the eve of the event.

The team calls the decision to bring the festival back to Kyiv a ‘political act’, driven by the desire to unite the international community specifically in this city:
‘This matters because the narrative promoted by the russian political elite — that the Ukrainian nation does not exist — directly contradicts not only historical truth but also the cultural reality of our time. Holding the festival in a place where cultural identity is under threat — being present in Kyiv, where people are fighting — is a response to imperial rhetoric’, ICKPA adds.
In the ICKPA manifesto, the founders also explain that after the full-scale war began, ICKPA transformed into a ‘nomadic festival’, hosting a series of events abroad. In each country, it ‘carried the spirit of resistance and actively supported Ukrainian artists — amplifying their voices, messages, and sound’.

About ICKPA
The ICKPA electronic music festival was launched by a Ukrainian team in collaboration with the team from the Georgian club Bassiani. The first two-day event took place in June 2021 near Kyiv, with the Khvylia sanatorium chosen as the venue.
‘ISKRA isn’t a guest’: Why Bassiani is organizing a new festival in Kyiv
The lineup featured 45 international and Ukrainian artists, including Jeff Mills, Lena Willikens, DVS1, and Hector Oaks; Bassiani residents HVL, Zitto, NEWA, Kancheli, and NDRX; as well as local musicians DJ Nastia, Koloah, Nastya Muravyova, Ponura, S.A Tweeman, Stanislav Tolkachev, Vera Logdanidi, and Vladimir Gnatenko.
In 2022, ICKPA was planned for July 1–3 but did not take place. Since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the ICKPA team has organized events in Berlin, New York, and Prague.
