Вініловий альбом саунтреків до «2000 метрів до Андріївки»

The music for ‘2000 Meters to Andriivka’ has been released on streaming platforms

Composer Sam Slater’s boutique label Mt. Brings Death has announced the digital and physical release of the soundtrack album for Mstyslav Chernov’s documentary ‘2000 Meters to Andriivka’. The album was released on Lakeshore Records— it is already available on streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and Bandcamp, while a limited edition of vinyl records is available for pre-order

The film’s soundtrack was released as an album featuring 10 compositions by Sam Slater, written specifically for ‘2000 Meters to Andriivka’. To create them, Sam, among other things, worked with front-line field recordings.

The vinyl release also features field recordings made by Mstyslav Chernov himself during the production of the film, along with audio commentary from Slater. The record comes with an eight-page booklet containing previously unpublished photographs by Chernov.

The team will release a total of 75 physical copies. Shipping of the pre-ordered vinyls will begin around September 25.

About ‘2000 Meters to Andriivka’

The events of ‘2000 Meters to Andriivka’ take place during Ukraine’s 2023 counteroffensive. Chernov follows a platoon of Ukrainian soldiers from the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade tasked with liberating the strategically important village of Andriivka in the Donetsk region — ‘surrounded by mines and accessible only through a tiny sliver of wooded land’.

Chernov worked on the film together with his colleague, Associated Press photographer Oleksandr Babenko.

The world premiere of ‘2000 Meters to Andriivka’ took place at the Sundance Film Festival, where it won the award for Best Documentary Directing (in the World Cinema Documentary Competition category).

On August 28, the film was released in Ukrainian cinemas.

‘2000 Meters to Andriivka’ will represent Ukraine at the 2026 Oscars in the Best International Feature Film category.
