‘The thing is, I love you’: the band 19.99 have released a new track

In the single ‘Rich u tim’, Ukrainian alternative rock band 19.99, conveys a devotion to love, ‘even when everything seems complicated’. The track was released on contemporary jazz label No Time For Swing

‘Rich u tim’ will be included on the band’s upcoming EP, scheduled for a release in the fall of 2025.

‘In the year and a half of our band’s existence, we seem to have felt the flow in which our music is moving. We also understand what our future EP will be like: we start with a light and melancholic song, but later there will be hardcore punk with jazz elements!’, band leader Dmytro Temnyi describes the future release.

About 19.99

The band was founded in June 2023 by Dmytro Temnyi, Mykyta Kovtunenko and Ivan Marun, students of the jazz faculty of the Glière Music College. In early 2024, guitarist Arsen Horbach joined them.

In their music, the members of the band 19.99 combine rock with elements of jazz and punk. The band’s first EP, ‘Myne’, was released in October 2024.

‘For us, authenticity is the foundation of our music. We deliberately record tracks on analog devices, avoiding digital sound in order to preserve the naturalness and warmth of each sound. We work with minimal resources because that’s what allows us to create music that sounds genuine, without falseness’, the band members describe their approach.

19.99 is the band with which then US Secretary of State Antony Blinken performed Neil Young’s track ‘Rockin’ In The Free World’ at the BarmenDyktat bar in May 2024.
