Each track of the new album epitomizes OTOY’s reflections on different life situations: life during war, moving, making money, fear, love, the meaning of life, etc
According to Slava, when he worked on the album, he didn’t emphasize concept, innovativeness or breakthrough. The LP reflects the states of people:
‘It’s about how we try to smile while everything around us is filled with pain. It’s about trying to create your life while everything around you is one big force majeure. About the ability to love and make people fall in love with you, the ups and downs. It’s about you and me. It’s completely honest, lively, funny and painful at the same time, as in life’.
It took the rapper seven months to find the sound of ‘8 rozdumiv’. British producer Remdolla worked on the album.
‘If you could only hear it: post-punk, blues, playboi carti, industrial. The brain is so hungry for something new, it wants everything, here and now. And that problem was an obstacle for me for seven months, seven fucking months’, OTOY said.
The album was completed with two music videos: for the track ‘10 prychyn’ and the lead single ‘Mrii, bazhannia, plany, tsili’. The ‘Pobutovi videoistorii’ music video was directed by Tim Selfgate.
