In October 2023, RIOTDIVISION presented an expanded flagship store at 9 Reitarska Street, which was first opened more than seven years ago. The team optimized the space to make the main sales area larger.
In a commentary for DTF Magazine, RIOTDIVISION said they decided to undertake a complete redesign of the space because ‘everything has its expiration date and there was a need to make changes to the old design’. They made not only visual changes, but also functional ones: they removed storage areas to maximize space for shoppers and clothing, added lighting and replaced a door.
‘Our main goal is to make the store a place where it’s easy to breathe and where every customer feels comfortable’, team members add.
The next step in RIOTDIVISION’s plans is to work on inclusivity and accessibility of the flagship store for people with disabilities.
About the flagship store
Last year, in a commentary for DTF Magazine, RIOTDIVISION said that the decision to expand ‘was long overdue’ due to the lack of space ‘for a high-quality and conceptual demonstration of the whole range’. Despite this, the brand team did not want to change the location on Reitarska Street, so they used the opportunity to occupy more space in the existing premises.
Now it is possible to enter the store not only from Reitarska Street, but also from the ‘raven yard’. When the team redesigned the store, it was important to focus on practicality and make ‘clothes the main character of the space’.
‘Previously, due to the lack of additional space for fitting, our customers suffered from long waits for their turn. This problem has been solved. In addition, now every single item has its well-deserved place and every guest has the opportunity to learn the range without haste’.
