Anastasiia Shevchenko, known as STASIK, has released a new song and music video titled ‘Zvir’ (The Beast) — her first work since 2023. The lyrics were written together with Sasha Kladbishche from the band ZWYNTAR several years before the full-scale invasion. The video was directed by Anna Buriachkova (‘Forever-Forever’), who also worked on STASIK’s previous music videos — ‘Heroes Die’, ‘Fight with the Shadow’, and ‘Knife’
‘‘Zvir’ is a person’s final ‘second wind’. It’s when you can no longer cope — you snap, then pull yourself together and keep pushing forward, barely able to go on, almost at your limit. And just when you are nearly at rock bottom, your inner Beast emerges and takes control’, Anastasiia wrote about the new release on social media.

About ‘Heroes Die’
The music video was released in the summer of 2023. In ‘Heroes Die’, Shevchenko tried on the image of Haron — a character from ancient Greek mythology who carried the souls of the dead to the kingdom of Hades.
The music video is dedicated to Roman Ratushnyi and ‘to the memory of everyone who has died in this war’.
‘I should have released this song a long time ago — actually even before the full-scale invasion, — STASIK told DTF Magazine. — But this winter, I finally found the strength to take that leap — to finish the musical production and decide to put myself out there again, to be vulnerable again and speak about what truly matters.’
