Dnipropop label released the second solo album by Andrii Sokolov, sound producer, sound engineer, electronic musician from Dnipro, one of the members of ‘warnyakannya’ project. Sokolov released his new work as part of his solo project Walakos. The album, called ‘Now We Have Pain’, includes seven tracks
‘When the smoke disappears and only the pain remains, it is likely that it will choose the signs of the chronic. This essential element of the human does not allow us to be in illusions, to close our eyes in the face of reality or to deceive ourselves. It brings us right back to the present moment and obliges us to be honest with ourselves. Despite unspeakable experiences, we will feel more alive than ever. Pain, on the other hand, is a characteristic of living and therefore functioning beings’, this is how Sokolov describes Now We Have Pain.
On November 17 Dnipropop released ‘warnyakannya’ LP by joint project of Anton Slepakov and Andrii Sokolov. It includes 23 tracks, re-recorded and mixed by Anton and Andrii in Dnipro — the city where they met and started working on ‘warnyakannya’.
The musicians have already performed tracks from the album at more than 70 charity concerts in Ukraine and Europe, but decided to re-record the songs and combine them in one release.
They worked on mastering and mixing at the home studio of musician Monotonne, so, according to the musicians, ‘the compositions sound warm and therapeutic’.
