The first result of the collaboration between KSENIASCHNAIDER and the French footwear brand PALLADIUM was the showcase of the Ukrainian brand’s UTC+1 collection at London Fashion Week. Negotiations and discussions regarding the start of the partnership with various PALLADIUM teams lasted six years, and in the future, the partnership is planned to expand into a full-fledged collection
DTF Magazine spoke with the brand’s co-founder, Ksenia Schnaider, about the collaboration and how it was presented at the show
About the London Show
For the show, the brand chose PALLADIUM’s classic Pampa boots. Some pairs were left unmodified and styled with flowers, while others were customised at the KSENIASCHNAIDER studio in Kyiv: using denim elements from old pairs of jeans, the team transformed the boots into knee-high and over-the-knee styles.
Schnaider adds that, embodying the brands’ shared values of ‘practicality and versatility’, the boots on the runway served as a complement to the outfits ‘without drawing too much attention to themselves’.
According to Ksenia, the collaborative footwear was showcased exclusively on the runway this season, but the brands are preparing commercial production of the models for 2027.
About UTC+1
Through sports uniforms, merchandise, graphic symbols, logos, numbers and names, KSENIASCHNAIDER’s new collection explores themes of belonging and the visual language of clothing.
For the first time since the brand’s founding in 2011, Anton Schnaider takes on the role of co-creative director alongside Ksenia. His background in graphic design played a key role in shaping the visual identity of UTC+1.
‘Logos, numbers, surnames, flags, sponsor marks and crests — familiar visual codes — speak of loyalty, origins, pride, memory and collective identity’, the brand explains.
The collection includes tank tops, T-shirts, shirts, long sleeve T-shirts, bodysuits, denim and leather suits, as well as trekking and cargo trousers and shorts.
Another element of UTC+1 is a new collaboration with Lee Cooper. According to KSENIASCHNAIDER, previous collaborations between the brands explored functionality through denim, while for this third collaboration, that ‘utilitarian language’ was made softer.
Functional items were crafted from fabrics associated with lightness and summer wardrobes. The collaboration includes jackets and trousers with cargo pockets, a jumpsuit, a dress and skirts.
‘Durable yet delicate, practical yet playful — walkwear for summer’, KSENIASCHNAIDER describes the collaboration.
