Ukrainian BMX rider Oleksandr Parvadov died at the front

Ukrainian BMX rider and military man Oleksandr Parvadov died during combat operations in Zaporizhzhia direction on February 20. After the beginning of the full-scale war, he volunteered for the army and fought as a member of the 127th Kharkiv Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the AFU.

Oleksandr was 32 years old. In comments to DTF Magazine, Parvadov’s loved ones said that he died after being injured by debris after an enemy drone attack.

‘Sasha loved BMX culture and cared about its level in Ukraine. He supported youth development in this sport, took part in organizing competitions, contests and team trips. Ukrainian BMX will miss him, but unfortunately this is our reality. To be honest, I can’t describe my emotions. And I think the guys loved him very much, and now everything will not be the same as before’, the president of the Ukrainian BMX Freestyle Federation and military man Andrii Ustimenko tells in a commentary to DTF Magazine.

 Oleksandr Parvadov was born and raised in Poltava and then moved to Kharkiv, where he has lived for the last eight years. He actively participated in the development of BMX in Kharkiv, in particular as a member of Street Culture, organized competitions and tournaments, and gave BMX lessons at one of the local schools.

In addition to BMX, Oleksandr practiced snowboarding and other extreme sports.
