You can buy the ‘warnyakannya’ vinyl record on Dnipropop website.

About the concept of the ‘warnyakannya’ album

According to Andriy Sokolov, the project began as a documentary and was meant to capture ‘states, situations and emotions during a full-scale war’.

The release was mixed and recorded at the studio of musician Monotonne, which, according to the musicians, made the sound of the record ‘homely, warm and therapeutic’.

Anton Slepakov calls ‘warnyakannya’ ‘a special kind of muteness’, because ‘no words are able to describe our state and feelings in February 2022’.

‘Each track from the ‘warnyakannya’ album is a small documentary short film. Some of them are completely documentary, and others are fictional and imaginary… ‘PTSD’ was recorded in Voznesensk, ‘Bezsyllia’ — in Kharkiv, ‘Bez vijny’ and ‘Rozmova z Refyudzhizasom’ — during our European tour. An absolutely mobile traveling machine of memories, crime fixing and time reflection’.

Dnipropop label calls the release ‘the logical finale of the ‘Warnyakannya’ program’: ‘Each track is like a small ‘short film’: some of them are completely documentary, and others are fictional and ‘based’ on something’.

The album was released on streaming services in November 2023.

Anton Slepakov and Andriy Sokolov released the first two tracks from the EP ‘warnyakannya’ on March 22, 2022. In their compositions, the musicians cover the topic of war, their emotions and propaganda, and the tracks consist of poetry by Anton Slepakov with electronic accompaniment by Andriy Sokolov.
