14-year-old Ukrainian karting driver Oleksandr Bondarev has joined the racing academy of the Formula 1 team Williams Racing. At the end of July, the Ukrainian became the European Karting Champion in the OK Junior category

Bondarev is a 3-time Ukrainian karting champion and bronze medalist of the FIA Karting Academy Trophy-2021 tournament for 12-14 years old drivers.
In May 2022, the then 13-year-old Ukrainian was involved in a car accident, after which he recovered for several months.
