Kharkiv band TYSK released a track with The Prodigy’s drummer

‘XTO MY’ is the new double single from the musical collective TYSK by Anton Nazarko and Alex Pervukhin, which will appear on their upcoming album Kharkiv Worldwide. The musicians have released an original track created with Francisco Fresen, founder of the Capybara Music label, and a remix featuring multi-instrumentalist and The Prodigy drummer Kieron Pepper, who was a member of the band from 1997 to 2007

In a comment to DTF Magazine, Anton Nazarko says that ‘XTO MY’ is, first and foremost, an emotionally personal track for them. In the single, the artists reflect on life and a person’s place during war.

‘It’s filled with emotions tied to Kharkiv and the country, as well as how we experienced our surroundings at the time’, he adds.

About the collaboration with Kieron Pepper

According to Anton, his partnership with Pepper began with a chance meeting in May 2025 in Brighton, England, at The Great Escape festival. There, he told Kiron about his projects: TYSK, the Kharkiv Center of New Culture Some People and its community, and also sent him demos for the album ‘Kharkiv Worldwide’, which the band had only just begun working on at the time.

‘It was interesting for me to hear feedback from someone with that kind of experience, but I wasn’t really expecting anything in particular. A couple of weeks later, Kieron came back with a detailed musical breakdown of the material and asked for translations of the lyrics. He paid special attention to ‘XTO MY’. He said it was the strongest track on the album and offered to work on it together’, Anton recalls.

Nazarko describes the working process as ‘a ping-pong of emails with ideas’, in which Kieron shared his experience. Alongside his music career, he also mentors students at WaterBear, a music college in Brighton.

About the ‘Kharkiv Worldwide’ album

The release of TYSK’s second full-length album is scheduled for September 2026. Some of its tracks, including ‘SEEK’, ‘Vidverto’, and ‘XTO MY’, are already available on streaming platforms. The artists also plan to release another single ahead of the album.

Discussing ‘Kharkiv Worldwide’ conceptually, Anton and Alex explain that in it, they ‘transformed the atmosphere of Kharkiv over recent years into sound’.

About TYSK’s other releases

In March this year, the collective released the audiovisual work ‘Kharkiv Worldwide’. Directed by visual artist Kris Voitkiv and cinematographer Alex Babenko (‘2000 Meters to Andriivka’), the video explores the ‘emergence of a young underground scene’ in Kharkiv and the development of the community around the Some People Center of New Culture.
