m0d44 and Broq have released a collaborative jewelry collection

The collaborative m0d44 x Broq jewelry collection includes a silver pendant, bracelet and ring. In the collaboration, the brands wanted to combine the design and functional component of the accessories

The collection description adds that the jewelry is ‘a celebration of contrasts, where the stark beauty of brutalism meets the principles of universalism, and together they combine into an item in which practicality becomes a key criterion’.

‘We wanted to create an item that was not only a piece of jewelry but also a bridge between eras, — Anton Abo, founder of m0d44, explains. — This jewelry is a homage to the past and at the same time a bold step into the future, embodying the essence of what — in our opinion — modern jewelry should be’

Broq founder Anya Kharabuha adds that the collaboration was also a kind of ‘reflection on whether usual things can become jewelry, taking on new meaning during your joint journey through time’ and ‘whether ‘primitive’ forms can be a unique addition to the ‘character’’.

Each product is made individually — the process takes about 14 days. The m0d44 x Broq collection is available for a limited time on the m0d44 and Broq sites.

m0d44 is the Kyiv-based brand of Syndicate co-founder and former art director Anton Abo. It focuses on the aesthetics of workwear and redefines the influence of Eastern and Western civilizations on local culture.

The brand presented its debut collection in November 2019.

Anya Kharabuha launched the Broq brand in early 2020.

The brand team is inspired by the beauty of imperfection, the fluidity of time and life, gender neutrality and natural textures. The brand produces earrings, earcuffs, rings and hand jewelry — they are abstract and defy clear description.

We told you more about the history and philosophy of Broq in our interview with Anya: ‘I was inspired by the way moss grows and decay processes take place’. Meet the Kyiv-based jewelry brand Broq

Broq and m0d44 were also one of the brands to release a collaboration with the MOT art space by the don’t Take Fake team. You can read more about them here.
