New place in Kharkiv: streetwear store, sneaker dry cleaner and vinyl in the space of Some People formation

Despite the regular shelling of the city and the fact that people are moving out, the Kharkiv-based formation Some People continues to launch new projects and support the community. The team’s new location combines the Ssweep streetwear store, Sneaker Mate workshop and audio space. Some People’s previous headquarters on Kvitky-Osnovianenka Street was damaged by russian shelling at the beginning of the full-scale invasion

Until 2022, the space at 6 Rymarska Street was used by Protagonist Store and hi-fi salon 45rpm, which were launched by Denis SAXR, a member of the Some People formation.

‘The current opening is the logical completion of the realization of Denis’ ideas of the beginning of 2022, which he did not have time to implement, — Anton Nazarko, co-founder of the formation, explains. — In addition, we were looking for a permanent location for our Sneaker Mate sneaker dry cleaner, which we lost due to a russian missile hit, because our pop-up in Kharkiv at 7sklad was no longer able to cope and is more of a seasonal project’.

The Ssweep store will sell items by seven Ukrainian brands. Among them are m0d44, Sneaker Mate Studio, O(FourFour), Low Blow, Unmere, ObjectX and VVHY ME.

Audiophile space will host listening events of non-dance and experimental music.

When: daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Where: 6 Rymarska Street

In September 2023, Some People began construction of the Center of New Culture, which combines a multi-genre concert venue, a space for audiovisual performances, a co-working space for artists, a Sneaker Mate sneaker dry cleaner, a photo studio, and so-called ‘philosophy clubs’.
