With the April 4 event dedicated to the formation’s 11th anniversary, Rhythm Büro returns— for the first time since February 5, 2022— to the walls of its iconic Pavilion 9 at VDNH (now the KYT cultural space). It also marks a return to a single dancefloor format.
In a comment to DTF Magazine, the Rhythm Büro team talks about this year’s event and shows what the dancefloor will look like
About the concept and approach
According to the formation’s co-founder Ihor Hlushko, it was important for the team to return to the concept of a single dancefloor and a holistic approach to the space’s architecture — ‘it’s about concentrating attention, energy, and experience in one place, without scattering’.
At the same time, Rhythm Büro sought not just to replicate this approach but to reinterpret it for today’s landscape, incorporating new elements and technologies ‘that align with the contemporary context’.
‘In the past, we often worked with a single large dancefloor format for a one-day event, but it’s been a long time since we’ve returned to it. And now, for the first time since 2022, we’re once again creating one big, concentrated dancefloor — with powerful lighting, strong energy, and in the same location. It’s a kind of rethinking of a familiar format within a new reality’, Rhythm Büro co-founder Vera Logdanidi adds.
About the technical implementation
The lighting concept for this year’s event was developed by three teams that Rhythm Büro had previously collaborated with — Blck Box, Tenpoint, and u2203.
‘They grew out of the same story and defined the scale and character of the lighting at our events, — Rhythm Büro explain. — This time, their trajectories will officially intersect in one space for the first time’.

According to Volodymyr Poloziuk from u2203, the team aimed to preserve Rhythm Büro’s visual code, while adapting it to the large space by making it less dense:
‘Our main principle was to ‘declutter’ the location as much as possible — so that visitors feel a sense of freedom rather than pressure from structures and a large amount of equipment’.
About 90 lighting fixtures were used in the setup, yet visitors will only be able to see 10 of them directly. ‘The screen shape is in the style of Blck Box and Tenpoint; it’s something that’s better experienced in person than described’, Polozyuk adds.

About the event and the lineup
The lineup was built around artists who are ‘able to combine intensity with Rhythm Büro’s signature aesthetic’.
Among the international artists coming to Kyiv are Italian producer and DJ Marco Shuttle, who has previously performed at Rhythm Büro events, including the Natura festival; Swiss artist Garçon; and Finnish producer Kaspiann, who will perform in Ukraine for the first time with a live set. The Ukrainian lineup features Rhythm Büro co-founders Vera Logdanidi and Igor Glushko, who will open the April event with a b2b set.
