Singer Doja Cat presented a new track Attention, the first solo single since the release of Vegas in May 2022. The music video was shot by the duo of Ukrainian director Tanu Muiño and cinematographer Nikita Kuzmenko
Pitchfork writes that with this single Doja Cat ‘opens a new era’ of her creativity. The publication also added that apparently the singer is preparing to release a new album, which has not yet been officially announced.
Attention was the first collaboration between Tanu Muiño and Nikita Kuzmenko, and Doja Cat. In the four-minute video, the singer walks the streets of Los Angeles, periodically bumping into fans and haters.
Tanu Muiño is one of the most famous Ukrainian music video makers. In Ukraine her popularity was brought by videos for MONATIK for the tracks ‘Spinning’, ‘Vitamin D’, ‘We fell in love and hit up dancing’ and ‘Love it rhythm’, as well as for his joint composition with Nadiia Dorofeeva ‘Deep’.
Muiño’s portfolio includes music videos for Lil Nas X, Rosalia, Cardi B, Katy Perry, The Weeknd and Post Malone, Harry Styles, and the British singer Yungblud. In January 2023, British singer Sam Smith released the video I’m Not Here To Make Friends, directed by Tanu.
Ukrainian cinematographer Nikita Kuzmenko has shot commercials for Dior, Puma and Oakley, and together with Muiño worked on music videos for Harry Styles, The Weeknd, Rosalia and Sam Smith.
In March, Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk’s film ‘Pamfir’ directed by Nikita was released in Ukrainian cinemas. He won the award for Best Cinematography at the Raindance Film Festival in London.
