Student life and uroboros: Jewelry brand Broq has released a new collection

Kyiv-based jewelry brand Broq presented a STUDENT LOAN collection and a new campaign. The new jewelry collection consists of two variants of pendant earrings: in the form of can tab and uroboros, as well as two models of ring and earcuff. All items are made of 925 sterling silver.

The new drop is ‘a tribute to the experience of student life that emphasizes the importance of staying true to yourself and embracing the happiness found in friendship, romance and adventures’.

Together with the capsule, the brand’s team released a campaign dedicated to the theme of university life. It was directed by Anton Orehov.

‘Welcome to Broq University, from where we will take a journey through a world of carefree youth and new knowledge, — brand founder Anya Kharabuha described the video in a comment to DTF Magazine. — Here we will relive the times when it was difficult to remember the name of the person you met yesterday, but studying medieval philosophy the night before an exam was a cakewalk. A time when knowing how to open wine without a corkscrew was more valuable than knowing discrete math’.

One of the main symbols of the new jewelry was the uroboros, which denotes the duration or infinity of life processes.

‘At Broq University, we are not only looking for new knowledge. By changing and gaining new experiences, like uroboros, a key element of drop, we are looking for new selves’, Anya added.

You can buy the jewelry on the brand’s website.

In April, Broq presented a new project ‘I see, I hear, I feel’. For this initiative, they made 150 items out of aluminum collected from a destroyed russian tank. 100% of the profits went to the ‘Hospitallers’ organization. You can still purchase the jewelry on the Broq website.

Anya Kharabuha started working in the jewelry industry in 2019, and she launched the Broq brand in early 2020.

The brand team is inspired by the beauty of imperfection, the fluidity of time and life, gender neutrality and natural textures. The brand produces earrings, earcuffs, rings and hand jewelry — they are abstract and cannot be clearly described.

We talked more about the history and philosophy of Broq in our interview with Anya:

Broq was also one of the brands that released a collaboration with the MOT art space by the don’t Take Fake team. For the gift store, the brand created rings, bracelets and earcuffs in silver that were specially oxidized. You can read about the collaboration here.
